24/3/1

Jad Tarifi, CEO & Co-founder of Integral AI, was invited to speak at the 9th Symposium of the Future Robotics Organization at Waseda University on March 2, 2024. His presentation, titled Common Sense AI: A Foundation World Model and Applications, introduced Integral AI’s work on Foundation World Models, a groundbreaking technology extending AI into real-world applications with the goal of advancing toward Superintelligence. Tarifi was invited by Professor Tetsuya Ogata, Director of the Institute for AI and Robotics at Waseda University.

The symposium focused on the convergence of AI and robotics, a field that has seen tremendous growth since the launch of ChatGPT in 2022. Discussions centered on the societal and economic impacts of AI-robotics integration, as well as the new industries and services emerging from this technological fusion. Topics included how this convergence will reshape human-robot collaboration and its applications in fields like healthcare, disaster response, and co-creation.

The Future Robotics Organization at Waseda University has a distinguished history in robotics research, rooted in the legacy of the WABOT Project and nearly five decades of innovation. With a mission to address 21st-century challenges such as an aging society and disaster recovery, the organization continues to lead global efforts in advancing human-robot symbiosis.
